2. What personal data we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to keep the website working and secure.
- Contact form data: when you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, an optional phone number, the subject, and the message you send us.
- Analytics data (only with your consent): if you accept cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects usage information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, and an approximate (city-level) location based on your IP address. It also sets the cookies described in the Cookies section below.
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the time of your request. These are used to run and protect the website.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To answer enquiries and provide quotes — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and where relevant taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Analytics — lawful basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time (see the Cookies section).
- Security and running the website — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the site available and protected against misuse.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (processors) we use to run the website and respond to you:
- Web3Forms — processes contact-form submissions and delivers them to us by email.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — provides website analytics, only after you consent to cookies.
- imprya — our web hosting provider.
- Spaceship / Spacemail — our email provider.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers (including Google and Web3Forms) are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (IDTA), and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework with its UK extension.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiry and contact data: kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact, after which it is deleted (unless we are required to keep it longer, for example for tax or legal reasons).
- Analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
- Server logs: kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or overwritten.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict how we use your data;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- data portability; and
- withdraw your consent at any time (for example, for analytics cookies).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@wopp.co.uk. We will respond within the timescales required by law.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. As noted above, our own ICO registration is being arranged.
9. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This website uses only Google Analytics cookies, and they are not set until you accept them using our cookie banner. If you reject cookies, no analytics cookies are placed and analytics stays switched off.
